Internal AI training for the VisitBalaton365 (DMO) team; delivered by: Adam Schmutz, Bence Bukovec and Eszter Schmutz

A full-day, practice-oriented AI training for the staff of the VisitBalaton365 DMO, delivered by the team (Adam Schmutz, Bence Bukovec and Eszter Schmutz). Four modules: (1) AI basics and prompting – what AI is, how generative AI works, “AI as a mirror”, hallucination, and the 5 elements of an effective prompt (role, goal, audience, style, format); (2) copywriting and content planning with AI tools – tourism content types, prompt templates, multichannel content and AI detection; (3) data processing and note-taking (NotebookLM, Gemini) – quickly summarizing reports and statistics; (4) image generation and visual content (Canva AI, Firefly, Leonardo, Sora), plus “Google Maps for DMOs”. Based on a pre-survey (66.7% basic AI users; 83.3% would use it for copywriting; most popular tool: ChatGPT). It featured hands-on tasks with real Lake Balaton examples and a showcase of international DMO best practices (Visit Finland, Visit Norway “Aurora”, Helsinki “Lokki”, the Italian @venereitalia23 AI influencer, NAVITIME Japan). It also covered the four phases of DMO-level AI maturity (Beginners → Early adopters → AI pioneers) and ethical/data-protection (GDPR) aspects.
“AI is a tool, not a magic wand – a good question is the key to a good answer.” DMO staff received practical, Hungarian-market-tailored AI tools: copywriting, research, data processing and image generation.
