Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) / Visit Hungary – National Tourinform Meeting (two-day, 94 Tourinform offices). Speaker: Adam Schmutz (digital tourism expert, managing director).

At the professional conference of the MTÜ (Hungarian Tourism Agency / Visit Hungary) two-day National Tourinform Meeting (Villány, May 2023), Adam Schmutz gave a talk titled “The digital presence of Tourinform offices.” The talk analyzed the online presence of 25 Tourinform offices along six dimensions – access path (73%), information content (56%), visual appearance (43%), destination image (33%), social media (33%), functionality (19%) – as well as the digital visibility of Lake Balaton providers and the blocking points of the customer journey. The talk closed with the Visible Tourism concept and three key messages (visitor-centric mindset, development opportunities, Visible Tourism). Other speakers: Istvan Mayer (Mayor of Villány), Anita Molnar (Tourinform Coordination Office / Visit Hungary), Krisztian Steigervald (generation researcher), Renata Weinhardt (world café). The network participated with staff from 94 offices.
“Of the 25 Tourinform offices examined, the access path met modern expectations only 73% of the time, information content 56%, and functionality just 19% – this is where the Visible Tourism concept leads from.” (Adam Schmutz)
