Destination-development strategy methodology

Most destination strategies are bespoke and hard to compare. We created a structured, repeatable methodology that guides the assembly of a tourism destination-development strategy step by step: situation assessment, the construction of the goal system, and the definition of intervention logic across supply elements, organisational operation and digital visibility. The aim is strategy produced on a data basis, consistently and reusably, rather than ad hoc.

We instead created a structured, repeatable methodology that guides the assembly of a tourism destination-development strategy step by step. The framework covers the steps of situation assessment, the construction of the goal system and the definition of intervention logic, addressing supply elements, organisational operation and digital visibility. The aim is for strategy to be produced not ad hoc but on a data basis, consistently and reusably across different destinations , a blend of research-based systems thinking and practical applicability.
