Events tourism impact assessment

Linked to the GINOP-1.3.4 destination-development programmes, we assessed the tourism impact of events in five priority regions: Lake Balaton, Gyula-Békéscsaba, Mátra-Bükk, Szeged-Makó and Debrecen-Hajdúszoboszló-Hortobágy-Lake Tisza. In each region we surveyed dozens of events in full, then scored them on a single proprietary rating system so they became directly comparable. The work produced problem identification and destination-level development recommendations.

We surveyed and made comparable the events of five priority regions using a unified, proprietary rating system.

Project detail

The tourism impact of events is often hard to compare , so we added a unified yardstick. Linked to the GINOP-1.3.4 destination-development projects, we assessed the impacts achieved by events in five priority regions (Lake Balaton, Gyula–Békéscsaba, Mátra-Bükk, Szeged-Makó, and Debrecen–Hajdúszoboszló–Hortobágy–Lake Tisza). In each region we fully surveyed dozens of events, then analysed them along a unified, proprietary rating system , making the events comparable with one another. The result: problem identification and destination-level, practical development recommendations.
